Top Things To Do In Flagstaff

Besides taking one of our E-Bike tours around Flagstaff to see the town and learn more about the area, these are some of our favorite things to do in Flagstaff.

Restaurants:
There are so many delicious options for food in the Flagstaff area and these are some of the establishments that top our list.

Pato Thai – For some great traditional Thai food and great atmosphere.  https://www.patothai.com
Himalayan Grill – A solid selection of Nepalese, Tibetan and Indian cuisine.  https://www.himalayangrill.com
Sosoba – A small pub style ramen house with amazing food and drinks.  https://www.sosobaflg.com
Cornish Pasty – English style cuisine straght from the mines.  https://www.cornishpastyco.com
El Tapatio – The best mexican food in town in our humble opinion.  https://tapatiorestaurants.com

Bars / Nightlife:
What would a historic downtown be without a selection of watering holes and entertainment? Again, a few of our favorites.

Hops on Birch – Right in the heart of downtown Flagstaff a beer lovers dream with over 20 beers on tap and a large selection of cans and bottles in their coolers.  https://www.hopsonbirchbeer.com
Uptown Pubhouse – If you enjoy a fine whiskey this is the place to go with over 100 different scotches and whiskeys available.  Uptown also features great food and a full billiards hall as well.  http://www.uptownpubhouse.net/n/
Rendezvous / Monte Vista Lounge – Located in the lobby and basement of the historic Monte Vista Hotel these two bars are a must on a visit to Flagstaff.  Rendezvous is a classic cocktail lounge and features a rotating specialized cocktail menu and some standards (the Whiskey Chai is our favorite).  Right down the lobby stairs and you will find yourself in the Monte Vista Lounge which is a classic bar setting that provides live music throughout the week.  https://hotelmontevista.com/rendezvous/    https://hotelmontevista.com/the-monte-v/
The Orpheum Theater and Yucca North – Both situated in the historic downtown Flagstaff area these are two of the best venues for live music.  The Orpheum is housed in an old movie theater building and has amazing sound and stage.  Yucca North is a smaller intimate venue with traveling bands and well as local artists playing several nights a week.  https://orpheumflagstaff.com/

Places of Interest:
There are several places to visit in and around Flagstaff as well and these are a few we enjoy.

Buffalo Park – Just east of donwtown Flagstaff this is a great area to take a walk or job. We visit this location on our tours.
Lake Mary – South of Flagstaff this is closest lake in Flagstaff and offers fishing, kayaking, and spectacular sunset views.
Walnut Canyon – East of Flagstaff this National Monument was home to the ancient Sinagua people and you can visit their cave dwellings and learn their history here.
Wupatki – Northeast of town is Wupatki National Monument where you can see vast structures from the ancient Puebloan peoples.  Large adobe structures, handball courts, and kivas adorn this desert landscape
Sunset Crater – Another to do on the National Parks / Monuments list if you visit Flagstaff
Lowell Observatory – Pluto was discovered here!  One of the oldest telescopes is still housed at the top of this plateau
Lockett Meadow – A fall time favorite to see the beautiful aspen leaves changing colors.
Snow Bowl – The ski resort in Flagstaff that offers great slopes in the winter and great hikes in the summer.  You can connect and hike pieces of the Arizona Trail from the road that leads to the resort.
Red Mountain – On the road to the Grand Canyon this is an ancient site to behold.  A large cathedral structure of natural rock this area is known for its peaceful and sometimes supernatural feels.
Grand Canyon – Not to end the list on the best but if you are travelling Northern Arizona this is a MUST.  My personal favorite place in the world.

If you are interested in learning more about any of these places / locations please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.  We are also professional tour guides of these areas and can be hired to take you to any of the aforementioned locations if you would like a more knowledgeable and guided experience.
